Postdoctoral Scientist II
Pedro Garção is a Postdoctoral Scientist II at Talisman Therapeutics. He undertakes experimental work across a number of collaborative projects at Talisman. Before joining Talisman, Pedro worked for five years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MRC Toxicology Unit of the University of Cambridge. During this time he investigated the differentiation of midbrain dopaminergic neurons from human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells. Pedro has an undergraduate degree and a PhD from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. His PhD research focused on the synaptic localization of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and on the functional interaction between nicotinic and adenosine receptors in the brain.
